Refining Tank For Aluminum Melting and Casting

Instructions

1. First, fix the gap between the baffle plate and the push plate to a fixed position (5mm when leaving the factory).

2. Open the lid of the duster tank and add 6kg of refining agent (three bags).

3. Clean up the spilled flux, install the cover and tighten it.

4. Open the valve of the low-pressure gauge, open the regulating valve, open the valve of the nitrogen low-pressure gauge, and rotate the regulating valve to make the gauge pressure of the pressure gauge connected to the tank reach 0.25Mpa, and nitrogen is ejected unobstructed from the outlet of the refining tube.

5. Turn on the power, the red light is on, and the button is turned on, the green light is on. At this time, the refining agent is ejected from the end of the refining tube.

6. Insert the refining tube into the aluminum melt, and observe that the height of the aluminum liquid splashing is about 300mm. When the splash height is too high, turn the regulating valve to reduce the pressure; when the splash height is too low, turn the regulating valve to increase the pressure. When the aluminum liquid is splashed to a suitable height, record the pressure gauge data. In the later use, the valve in front of the pressure gauge connected to the tank is always open, and only a small adjustment is required.

7. Calculate the refining agent used according to the time it takes to spray 6kg of refining agent, calculate the content of refining agent used according to the aluminum content in the furnace, and then judge whether to increase or decrease the distance between the baffle plate and the push material according to the time.

8. Unscrew the 4 screws on the flange of the tank body, put the tank flat, adjust the distance between the push plate and the baffle, record the distance, and then reinstall the tank.

9. Then weigh 6kg of refining agent, spray the refining agent into the aluminum melt according to the selected pressure, record the time used for spraying, and calculate the refining agent flow. Until the appropriate distance is found and recorded, and this distance is fixed, do not change it in future use.

Refining operation

1. Open the lid of the duster tank, and press 1.5 kg tons of aluminum. Add the required refining flux to the duster tank.

2. Clean up the spilled micro-flux, install the cover and tighten it.

3. Open the nitrogen bottle, turn the regulating valve slightly to make the gauge pressure reach the required value, and nitrogen gas should be ejected from the end of the refining tube.

4. Turn on the power, the red light is high. Push the switch, the green light is on, and the refining agent should be sprayed out from the end of the refining tube.

5. Insert the refining tube into the molten aluminum pool, and the outlet of the refining tube moves back and forth along the bottom of the furnace until the refining agent is sprayed out.

6. Continue to pass nitrogen for 1-2 minutes, then take out the refining tube and stop supplying nitrogen.

 

Precautions

1. The powder spraying machine should be placed in a position favorable for jet refining, and the distance from the furnace should be shortened as much as possible to reduce pressure head loss.

2. After the refining agent is loaded into the material tank, the duster should not be moved to avoid blocking the refining agent.

3. During storage and use, strictly prevent the refining tube from bending, which will cause blockage.

4. During the refining process, strictly prevent the outlet of the refining tube from contacting the furnace bottom and furnace wall. If contact occurs, it will easily cause blockage.

5. When the refining agent is wet, it is easy to cause blockage. At this time, the refining agent should be dried and sieved before use.

6. When there is residual aluminum and residue in the refining tube, it should be cleaned up to ensure the smooth flow of the refining tube.
